Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actor, is well-known for her roles in film and television since the late 1980s. She has received various awards, such as two Golden Globe Awards and 16 NAACP Image Awards. Her work has earned her recognition for her TV and film performances since the early 1980s. The awards she has won are two Golden Globe Awards, sixteen NAACP Image Awards as well as nominations for Academy Awards and Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett, who was raised in Winston-Salem North Carolina by her aunt following her birth in New York New York, is an acclaimed actress. Her mother split with her father when she was about five. Her younger sister moved into St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. Bassett chose to become an actress after seeing the production Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, starring James Earl Jones. Yale University New Haven Connecticut gave her a bachelor's degree (1980) which was in African American study, and an advanced degree (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. In 1997, she married Courtney B. Vance who was also an actor. Qualification: B.A. Degree in African-American Studies in 1980. Master of Fine Arts from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett currently works in one of her main roles, Ramonda, in the action-adventure film i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
